Who we are…

We have been married forever.

We helped plant two churches in Scotland. We were sent by Globe International.

After sixteen years we returned to the USA with our three boys. Somehow, we and the church plants survived. Liberty Churchin Pensacola, graciously helped us to transition back into the culture called America. I served Liberty as an associate pastor and outreach pastor.

After a year or so in Florida, I signed up to help Steve Sjogren travel around the world spreading the Conspiracy Of Kindness.

I served on the Extend / Outreach team at Cincy Vineyard for three years.

I was the outreach guy for Dayton Vineyard Church for fourteen years.

We love to travel to encourage groups, churches, and missionaries. To encourage someone means to pour courage into the heart. Spending time with leaders and missionaries enable us to “be there” and to listen and care.

I am currently serving two local churches in the Dayton area, Phillips Temple, in Trotwood, and Upper Room, in Tipp City. Being active in local church settings continues to enhance my growth and equipping skills

I also write and travel to encourage outwardness with a team from Kindness Outreach.

Pattie teaches literacy enrichment to kindergartners at a local elementary school. She is a triplet. She loves to create, laugh and pray for others. We currently live in Kettering.

My book Go. Sow. Practical tips, stories and helps toward outward focused living… Is available on Amazon.com.

We Can Help You And Your Group Journey Outward…

The messenger is the message. Leaders who embrace the value of outwardness are the key to any church successfully reaching their world for Jesus Christ.

We’d love to spend some time with you to help guide you toward outward-focused engagement. If you are interested in knowing more fill out the contact area.

What Others Are Saying

I worked side-by-side with Steve Bowen for more than a decade. He is one of the most encouraging guys I know. His heart for God and his love for people are evident in all he says and does. If you want your church to become more outward-focused, Steve is the guy you want to invite to your church to inspire and train your teams!

Scott Sliver Associate Pastor, Dayton Vineyard Church

It was fantastic to have Steve with us in Warrington, to equip, inspire, and encourage our young team. Steve’s prophetic insight and passion equip the church to reach out. His genuine humility has shifted our expectations of street outreach. Healing and salvation became commonplace during our kindness outreach. We were inspired to be alert and to be aware of the opportunities to live naturally supernatural.

Mike McMahon Lead Pastor, Oasis Church Warrington England

Steve has a refreshing sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. His expertise in expanding the Kingdom and reaching our community was a timely message. We appreciated his authentic and creative style that brought encouragement to the outreach efforts of our church family.

Bruce Terry Pastor, Liberty Church of Birmingham,

Cross City Church was privileged to host Steve and Pattie. From the Friday worship to the Saturday workshop sessions and Sunday’s message, their insight, and practical application points were of great value in refining our vision for outreach. One of the things I appreciated the most, however, was Steve’s ability to tailor his presentations to fit the personality of our church. His creative use of art and his own experiences spoke directly to the hearts of those in our congregation. I would recommend to anyone interested in moving ministry outside the walls of the church. I am hoping they find time in his schedule to visit us again soon!

  • We value your partnership. Your one-time gift or ongoing monthly donation for our personal support is greatly appreciated.  All gifts are tax recorded and year-end statements will be sent. If you’d like to give by check simply make check out to Upper Room Worship Center. On the tagline write Eyesoutward and send to our address.
  • When we visit small churches, church planters, and missionaries, it is important for us to be a blessing. All of our trips thus far have been fully funded. (which included airfare, trains, cabs, food, equipment, etc.) We are grateful for our generous partners.

One leader, who started a Korean Discipleship training school in Virginia, was stunned when I paid for our expenses and gave her a thank you card.

She said, “I’ve had many people come and share in our school over the last ten years. You are the first person to help pay for expenses, and give me a thank you card.”

I received my reward. She hugged me and said thanks.

*we do appreciate any gifts to help us to travel to encourage others.
